Mission: Our mission is to respond to the growing challenges experienced by military service and law enforcement veterans due to PTSD and TBI, as well as to make a difference in the lives of adults and children suffering from panic attacks, Crohn’s Disease, Asperger's, diabetes, seizures, and mobility impairment. Although we provide services for all adults and children, we want to ensure that we extend our help to the retired law enforcement and military veteran communities whose needs motivated us to start this endeavor.

Training Program

Training Facilities

Our dogs come from our own breeding program, reputable breeders, and shelters. Our training practices are guided by Assistance Dogs International (ADI) standards. We do not use any form of harsh treatment, such as electric or choke collars, pinching paws, water guns, to shape the behavior of our dogs. Our training is based on the classical conditioning and operant conditioning principles, and we follow the LIMA protocol (Least intrusive, minimally aversive ).

Service Dog vs. Emotional Support Dog

A service dog is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disability. The three minimum required tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the individual's disability. By law, the service dog is allowed anywhere a person is allowed.
An Emotional Support Dog is not required to have three specific tasks related to the individual's disability. The dog must be able to perform basic obedience skills. The primary role of this dog is to provide emotional comfort, and companionship to a person with a mental, emotional or psychological disability. These dogs, by law, are allowed in "no pets policy" housing, pet-friendly hotels, and in the cabin of airplanes. They are not allowed in restaurants, beaches, etc.
We do not foster our puppies. We raise all dogs at our facilities, and training begins at a very young age.
We have a team of volunteers that visit our facilities to expose our dogs to children, and adults with multiple personalities.
All our dogs are fed grain-free food. This is something we want you to continue doing.

Customization

Many of the medical conditions for which we provide service dogs are scent-dependent. Therefore, the future owner of this dog sends us his/her scent and we specifically train the dog to detect that, and to alert this future owner of an upcoming episode. A dog can give up to 30 minutes of advance alert even when the human is not feeling any symptoms.
